These terms of service (Terms) govern your use of Pehchan, the Single Sign-On Platform and the services provided thereunder. Please read these terms and conditions (Terms) carefully before you use the Pehchan platform and its services.

By clicking on the 'I Agree' button, you signify your acceptance of the Terms and your agreement to be bound by them. The Terms may be amended from time to time. In order to continue using the Pehchan Platform, you will be required to read and accept the revised Terms.

SERVICE OVERVIEW

Pehchan is an extensive single sign-on platform, which integrates various government centric applications and provides a secure and seamless accessibility to the MEA users.

TERMS OF USE

• NIC reserves the right to make changes to Pehchan and these terms of use at any time. If those changes affect your rights or responsibilities, you will be notified through the Pehchan portal.
• These Terms of Service shall come into effect as soon as you have accepted it and created your Pehchan
• As a user of Pehchan you are granted a nonexclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use Pehchan in accordance with these Terms of Use. NIC may terminate this license at any time for any reason.
• Though all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the content on Pehchan, the same should not be construed as a statement of law or used for any legal purposes. In case of any ambiguity or doubts, users are advised to verify/check with the concerned Ministry/Department/Organization and/or other source(s), and to obtain appropriate professional advice.
• Under no circumstances will the Government Ministry/Department/Organization be liable for any expense, loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any expense, loss or damage whatsoever arising from use, or loss of use, of data, arising out of or in connection with the use of Pehchan.

The service offered by Pehchan is for your personal use only and not for commercial exploitation. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, rent, lease, loan, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from Pehchan. Nor may you use any network monitoring or discovery software to determine the Application/site architecture, or extract information about usage, individual identities or users. You will not use any robot, spider, other automatic software or device, or manual process to monitor or copy Pehchan and its contents without NIC's prior written permission. You will not copy, modify, reproduce, republish, distribute, display, or transmit for commercial, non-profit or public purposes all or any portion of Pehchan, except to the extent permitted by the copyright policy of this terms of use. Any unauthorized use of Pehchan.

USER RESPONSIBILITY

As a responsible user, you must:

• Be a natural person to access or seek to access Service.
• Pehchan Service account.
• Details on Pehchan may only be accessed through the Pehchan portal, and only using the username and authentication details which have been specifically allocated to you.
• You must not transmit via Pehchan any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive or scandalous material, or any material that constitutes or encourages conduct that would contravene any law.
• If, within your Pehchan account, you are asked to provide information, the information you supply must be complete and accurate. You acknowledge that if you supply incomplete, inaccurate or false information, use Pehchan to perform (or attempt to perform) an unauthorized action, or otherwise misuse Pehchan then it may suspend or terminate your Pehchan access.
• Giving false or misleading information is a serious offence. Providing incomplete, inaccurate or false information via Pehchan will be treated in the same way as providing incorrect information on a form or in person and may result in prosecution and civil or criminal penalties.
